What are SFAA Performance Groups?
SFAA Performance Groups are student-led teams that bring free live performances to their communities.
Each group rehearses locally and performs at places like senior centers, community events, and public spaces—making the arts more accessible to everyone.

Start a Performance Group in Your Community:
Here’s how to start a performance group in your community in just a few steps!
With this process, you’ll be ready to go within a week.
Step 1: Use the link below, titled: “SFAA Performance Group Toolkit”
Step 2: Read through the SFAA Performance Group Rules and the SFAA Performance Group Safety Policy
Step 3: Fill out the SFAA Performance Group Leader Application. This is your first step to launching a group in your community.
Step 4: Once approved, you’ll officially become a SFAA Performance Group Leader and gain access to all resources.
Step 5: Go through the SFAA Performance Group Starter Guide, which includes email templates, detailed guidelines, and rehearsal outlines.
Step 6: Fill out the SFAA Performance Group Agreement
Step 7: Start your Performance Group! Recruit your members, start rehearsing, and plan your first performance. We’ll support you every step of the way!
